A Cancel Clankers chapter is a small group of humans in one place, organized to show up where the rule gets written — the zoning commission, the planning board, the county supervisor meeting. We don't require a charter. We require a name, a place, a meeting cadence, and the standing position on tactics from The Principles.

Common questions.
- What is a chapter, exactly?
- Two-plus humans in one town who meet on a regular cadence and show up at local rooms where the rule gets written. That's the minimum. Bigger is fine. Older than three months is great. We do not gate the word "chapter" behind a charter.
- Do I need money to start one?
- No. Chapters do not pay dues to Cancel Clankers, and we do not pay chapters. A chapter that wants to raise money locally for printing, room rentals, or travel can — that's their call, not ours. We do not pass money through the brand.
- What do I do at the first meeting?
- The starter kit we send after you apply has a first-meeting agenda. Short answer: introduce yourselves, agree on the first room you'll show up at, agree on the cadence, exchange contact info. Ninety minutes is enough.
- What's the standing position on tactics?
- No violence against people who work in tech. No sabotage of physical or digital infrastructure. The Principles page holds the full position; it's a hard floor for any chapter using the Cancel Clankers name or marks.
- Can my chapter publish in our own voice?
- Yes. We ask that you not put words in the brand's mouth — don't issue statements as "Cancel Clankers" — but you absolutely can publish, post, and organize in your own chapter's voice. Use the Lexicon and Sources freely; both are public.
