The Grid.

Every data center they're building to replace you.

Mapped, sourced, current. Watch the ground they're pouring.

This is not a protest against electricity. It is a record of where the replacement gets built.

Four thousand two hundred and eighty-six data centers, indexed across all fifty states. Forty-two of them are the strategic spine — the hyperscale builds where humanoid-training compute, agent farms, and warehouse-replacement models actually run. The pipeline behind them is eight hundred and twenty billion dollars, and it is growing every quarter.

Every dot on this map is a building. Every building is concrete, water, transformers, and a thesis: that human labor will not be needed at the other end of it. We disagree. The map is here so you can see what disagreement looks like at scale — and so you can find the one closest to you.

  • Operational Already pouring power. Already training the model that's coming for the job.
  • Under Construction Steel up. Eighteen to thirty-six months from online. The next leap.
  • Proposed Permitting, hearings, land options. The buildout you can still organize against.
  • State Density Darker red = more facilities. Virginia, Texas, and Arizona lead.

Sources & Method

State density choropleth sourced from DataCenterMap.com (public, 2025 records). Individual facility pins via the OpenStreetMap Overpass API. The strategic-site list (42 sites) is maintained by Cancel Clankers Research — operational, under-construction, and proposed builds drawn from public filings, county permits, utility interconnect requests, and announced hyperscale capex. Pipeline totals reflect publicly disclosed investment commitments through Q1 2026. Last full pass: 2026-05-12. Updated quarterly.

The Hum is our civic-action arm — a Virginia hearings locator that tells you which county zoning meeting decides the next data center, and how to be in the room when it does. Same fight. Different tool.

Watch the buildout

The map updates. So does the Dispatch.

Every Sunday morning, free. New ground-breaks, blocked permits, county fights worth showing up to, and the receipts that matter. No filler. The map refreshes quarterly — you'll be the first to see it.
